This poem was written in
memory of my Mother by a friend...
Your Gift

You have been our
powerhouse, a testament to our lives,
Your daughters and sons, their husbands and wives.
As small and delicate as you might have been,
You were a leader, Mother, sister, and friend.
The gifts you gave more precious than gold,
Far too many to ever be told.
Your faith never faltered, it stayed ever strong,
You showed that no road is ever too long.
Your sufferings may have been many or few,
You never complained, we never knew.
No burden was too heavy for those that you loved.
You have been a gift from God, an inspiration
from above.
You gave love and happiness to all those around.
In that love, our strength has been found.
We will miss your tender voice and your soft
embrace,
But we know that you are in a happier place.
A place that you have prepared for all of your
life,
A place with no sadness, sorrow, or strife.
We have found comfort in the life that you lived,
Inspiring us in all that you did.
So as you watch over us in each passing day,
We know that your love is never far away.
